Peanut Butter Blossoms

An easy-to-work-with peanut butter cookie dough is rolled in sugar for a crunchy coating, then topped with a Hershey kiss for that signature look. As one of the easiest cookie recipes, this recipe is great for a beginner baker. Enjoy them as a holiday treat or for a casual dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened 113 g
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter 128 g
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar 100 g
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar 50 g
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 5 g
  • 1 1/2 cups flour 180 g
  • 1 tsp baking soda 6 g
  • 1/2 tsp salt 3 g
  • granulated sugar, for coating
  • 36 Hershey kisses, unwrappped

Instructions
 

  • Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 375º F.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, and sugars. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a dough forms. Scoop 1-inch dough balls and roll them in sugar. Space them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown. Remove the cookies from the oven and press an unwrapped Hershey kiss in the center of each one, letting them crack into the blossom shape. Let the cookies cool.
