Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter 56 g
- 1/4 cup maple syrup 50 g
- 1/4 cup molasses 50 g
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract 6 g
- 3/4 cup milk 180 g
- 1 1/2 cups flour 180 g
- 1 tsp baking soda 6 g
- 2 tsp cinnamon 8 g
- 1 tsp ground ginger 4 g
- 1/4 tsp salt 2 g
- 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened 26 g
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar 60 g
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350º F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, maple syrup, and molasses. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ground ginger, and salt. Mix gently until the batter is well combined.
- Pour the batter into a 9x5 loaf pan. Bake the loaf for 35-40 minutes. Remove the gingerbread from the oven and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, stir together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Spread the icing over the cooled loaf.
